Ragi Laddu

Make these delicious Ragi laddus for your fasting period on the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivratri.

Ingredients

• Ragi Flour

• Ghee

Jaggery

• Cardamom

 

Preparation

Step1: Take 1.5 cups ragi flour .Keep the pan on a low flame or sim and begin to roast the ragi flour and have to stir often.

Step 2: Roast till the color changes and you get a nice aroma from the ragi flour. About 6 to 8 minutes on a low heat.

Step 3: Then add ⅓ cup ghee in the flour. Begin to mix the ghee with the flour.

Step 4: Do check the taste of the ragi flour and you will get a crunchy taste. There should be no rawness in the taste.

Step 5: Then switch off the flame and place the pan down. Add ½ teaspoon cardamom powder.

Step 6: Next add ¾ cup jaggery powder. Begin to mix very well.

Step 7: Let this ragi laddu mixture become warm, then mix everything again very well with your hands and break small lumps if any with your hands.

Step 8: Take a portion of the mixture and shape into laddus.
